The world of business is so competitive. When it comes to securing those all-important customers and clients, you can bet there are a hundred other similar companies to you out there all trying to do the same. There are lots of ways you can help to make your company the most attractive option, but one of them is to look professional, reliable and trustworthy.

Focus on Branding

People invest in brands because they’re more than just a logo and a name. When you buy from a brand, you’re buying their good reputation, their experience, and customer service. So to make your company something that people feel confident buying from, focus on your branding. Work out your target audience, and outline the benefits and qualities customers will get from buying from your business. Have a designer create you a logo, and come up with a tagline- you want this to be consistent across all of your communications. From your website to social media to any paper documents. A well thought out brand makes your business more professional and means customers are more likely to put their trust in you by buying what you have to sell.

Get The Right Equipment

Equipment that is slow, outdated or not fit for purpose will quickly jeopardise your business no matter what field you’re in. Having the right tools for the job, so that tasks can be done quickly and efficiently can save you money. On top of this keeping, your equipment running correctly is also important. If you work in an office, it could be having IT support on hand to quickly rectify any computer issues. If you’re a construction company, it could be having a service like New Era Fuels on speed dial to make sure your vehicles are all fuelled and ready to go. The last thing you want is to start on a job for a client or customer and be held back due to your equipment, it makes you look sloppy and unprofessional.

Build Up Positive Third Party Reviews

Getting good reviews for your business on third party review sites like Trustpilot and Reevoo, as well as Google Plus Facebook customer reviews on your business page,  are invaluable. When people can see real reviews from past customers, it helps to reassure them that the business is legitimate and will perform in the way they expect. Again it helps to build a level of trust and can help to sway anyone who is on the fence. You could offer an incentive for leaving a review, for example, enter everyone who writes one into a prize draw. Make sure that you take on board and rectify any customer complaints as these can seriously harm your reputation.

Write A Blog

Writing a business blog is highly beneficial for a number of reasons. First, it can help to boost your domain authority and page rank in Google- the higher your page rank, the more likely customers will find you in organic search. Secondly, it helps to inform customers that you are knowledgeable in your subject area, and is another way to help build trust. If you sell clothes, you could write about fashion trends and advice about how to wear certain pieces. If you sell cloud storage, you could write about tips for small and large businesses. If your business is based on a service such as gardening or decorating, it’s a chance to speak about different projects you have completed sharing before and after pictures. Whatever it is, writing a blog on in your subject area helps to build a following and shows would-be customers that you know what you’re talking about.
