Building Your Network With Super Security

Security

Networking has become on of the biggest areas of technology, in recent years. Most modern businesses rely very strongly on the Internet to get their work done. And, some businesses are even solely based online. This reliance on the Internet comes with loads of benefits. But, of course, like anything; it also comes with some negatives. The only way to overcome these issues is by beating them at the source. This makes setting up a secure network incredibly important. And, to help you out, this post will be showing you how to do it.

Before beginning with something like this, you need to find someone to help you out. It’s unlikely that you have the knowledge to do this work yourself; otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this post. Even if you don’t need their help very much; having someone to support you through this change will make the process much less stressful. A company like Digital Planet.Net is a great place to start. Businesses like this have the resources to help you build an excellent and secure network. And, they will be able to pass some knowledge on to you, too. Getting help in this area will make it much easier for you to be confident at each stage.

Next, you need to think about the software that you will need to run your business. A lot of companies have moved most of their storage into the cloud, nowadays. This makes storing data much cheaper. And, can even make it more secure. Choosing the best service to do this for you will be hard, though. So, you’ll need to get the help of your support service. Along with storage, you’ll have to think about some other server software, too. But, this will be different for each company. So, you’ll have to get some help here, too.

The hardware within your business will be largely based on the software decisions that you’ve made. If your data will be stored with a service like Office 365; you won’t have much need for any storage servers. But, to connect to the internet, you will need a basic switch and router setup. This is all much hard to set up than it sounds. The list of jobs is massive when it comes to building a home network. And, the maths alone will usually scare most people away. So, it’s best to get some help here, too.

Now you’ve chosen everything; it’s time to put it together. Most people don’t have a clue when it comes to setting up servers. But, this is still a chance for you to learn. If you want the engineer that helps you; you’ll be able to learn how to do what they’re doing. This gives you the resources to try and fix problems with the systems in the future. And, will make it much easier for you to explain the network to future engineers.

Hopefully, this will inspire you to start working on the very best network your business can possibly have. This sort of work can make a real difference to a company. It will bring you into the modern age of cloud storage. And, it will ensure that your network is always secure.

Startup Considerations You May Have Overlooked

There are dozens of startup articles out there. Some are totally generic and offer little, while others like youngupstarts blogs are extremely useful. It can be hard finding the right article that helps you, but as you read you absorb, buffeting you and your business against any issues out there. There are all kinds of different considerations you could have overlooked in the inception of your business so before going ahead you should read this article. If you are here it is because you want to succeed as a business. You have made a good start because even the best businesses seek advice and instruction. Knowing puts you in the driving seat. Do your research for the best possible chances of success. You can also learn a lot from accomplished CEOs such as Andrew Defrancesco. Good luck!

For a start have you thought about where you want your business to be? Sure, footfall makes a huge difference to your customer facing business, just like rent does to your office. But you need to consider further things, such as which state to declare you are running your business from. Here are some of the best states to incorporate an llc, each comes with different prices and benefits. If you haven’t thought about this you need to. Certain states have better tax than others and better asset protection. Your hand may be forced by the type of business you are and that is fine, but it is at least worth your consideration. You may save a lot of money in doing so.

startup

Have you thought about hiring a business analyst? Most businesses would not have, however they are missing out. Sure they cost money, and the majority of startups are trying to keep the costs down. However, they can end up saving you money and ensuring you make the right decisions. They can tell you exactly what software and hardware you need to use to run as a business. It can stop you overspending on things you don’t need and missing out on key software that could benefit your business. Look into hiring one, especially if your expertise lies in the business and not in the software that makes it work. You can get freelance analysts that can help you succeed, just be sure to price then up and find the one with decent experience that isn’t charging a ridiculous sum.

Cloud computing is another aspect most businesses do not consider, especially those that are office based. They usually just buy the average server tower at enormous expense, while it drains your energy, and takes up a large amount of space, sometimes needing its own server room. You don’t need to waste money on this anymore. Now you can use cloud computing, where your server is based externally at a provider which you will pay monthly for. It cuts down on your startup costs, while allowing you to access all of your business data from anywhere there is internet. This is a huge bonus if you are mobile and visiting different clients throughout the day. It is also more secure from acts of god and other issues like hacking or malware. Google cloud interconnect is a fast way to connect to the cloud if you’re trying to start putting your business on the cloud.

The Ultimate Guide to Promoting Your Business

Promoting

                                                                                                                             Image

The only way for your business to achieve its full potential and to turn a considerable profit is to maximise sales. But what is the best way to do this?

If you are confident that your business model is effective, and you have already put in the hours of hard work and dedication (from through research to implementation), it is likely that you are not maximising the many marketing opportunities available to you which will help ensure the growth of your business.

The formula is simple; more customers equals more money. No matter the cost of your product or service, the more people that are aware of your business, the more are going to pay for it. So how can you utilise the promotional tools and help to drive your business forward to dizzying new heights?

Here is a great example. Your construction business is already up and running, and you have supplied your workers with the best possible equipment from  http://www.fallprotectionpros.com/equipment/fall-protection-anchors/metal-roof-anchors.html. You have the building blocks of a successful business in place but are not achieving the results that you would expect.

This is hardly surprising because, with such fierce competition from leading construction businesses, there is nothing that really sets you apart. This is where promotion comes into play.

Make yourself stand out from the competition, and you will see a rise in the number of customers investing their money in your business. By following these simple steps, you can utilise promotion strategies and help give your business the boost it so desperately needs.

  Offer free products through competitions

This is one of the most popular strategies by the BIG brand companies, which engages a lot of customers with the prospect of free prizes. Don’t be hesitant about giving your product away, as the long-term results of this far outweigh the short-term losses.

It is a great way to engage with potential customers through social media, and will also help spread the word about your product, as well as encouraging reviews of your service by whoever wins the competition.

Obviously, be wary of being too generous. You are not a huge brand just yet, and cannot afford to fulfill the promise of completely redecorating a house with all of your products. The key to this marketing strategy is balance.

You can use the helpful advice at https://www.loquax.co.uk/promoters/need2.htm to help you begin thinking of what prizes would suit your business.

Outreach the right way

With competition in business industries being so fierce, it can be useful to form alliances with businesses who you can recommend (and who, in turn, can recommend you). It goes without saying that you don’t want to recommend businesses in a similar field, but instead, one that goes hand-in-hand with the service you offer.

For example, a car sales rep wouldn’t recommend a different garage from which to buy a car, but might recommend a good local business from which to buy parts. This is beneficial for both businesses, and might, in fact, make the customer more inclined to purchase there and then as you are not trying to oversell yourself (which can be very damning).

Scout the competition

Lastly, a great way to make yourself stand out is to know what you’re up against. Visit the websites of your rivals and see what promotional activities they are running, and consider the ways in which you can offer a better deal.

Word of mouth will always be a sure-fire way to guarantee business success.

tools

                                                                      https://pixabay.com/en/blogging-blogger-office-business-336375/

If you work in an office or from home the chances are you’ll be staring at a screen for most of the day. To be frank, most jobs in this day and age involve some kind of online work. Even if you aren’t glued to your desktop all day, you probably still have to check emails and read documents online. The problem with this kind of setup is that it’s not very good for our eyes or necks. Most of us know we should be taking frequent break from the screen to give our eyes a rest. But what about our necks?

A laptop stand is an essential tool for anyone who has to use a screen for long periods of time. It makes it easy to position your screen at eye level so that you don’t have to keep craning your neck. A full-sized keyboard is another great tool. Especially if you’re doing a lot of typing as this will make it easier for your wrists.

For The Welding Wonders

Tools

If you work as a welder or are in welding school, you will most likely be provided with protective headgear. However, you need to make sure you have the right tool for the job. This is especially important because without the right tools could be in danger. Choosing headgear is important in this industry and you need something which won’t cause neck discomfort and has a large viewing window.

Welding outfitter viking helmets are great lightweight designs which have improved clarity and enhanced color recognition. It’s so important to get the right tools for this job otherwise you risk getting burnt. Check out some different designs and don’t be afraid to invest in the perfect tools for the job

For Savvy Start-ups

Tools

                                                                       https://pixabay.com/en/business-card-company-address-name-943997/

If you’re starting your own small business one of the biggest problems facing you will be marketing. You have to get your brand’s name out there as quickly as possible and increase footfall and traffic, to your store or online site. Social media is a great way to raise your brand’s awareness and connect with potential customers and clients. It doesn’t replace an old school business card though…

Business cards are a great tool for a startup to have. They are essentially your calling card and should look well designed to reflect your business. Keep some on hand at all times and hand them out at business events or when you’re socializing. Business cards are a great tool for networking on the go.

Hit Refresh! Ways To Give Your Business A Makeover

Makeover

Is your workplace not the dynamic business it once was? Are you used to the same processes and the same four walls? It can hit a point where your business is just crying out for a change! Cabin fever may be one way to describe it, but another way to describe it is that your business may just need a complete makeover. Here are some nuggets of inspiration…

Change Your Brand

The business can appear stagnant due to the problems its image communicates. The company may be hitting its targets, but if that’s not enough, then you may want to think about taking a view of the whole brand of the business and if it needs a change. You can hire a marketing company to take care of this, or if you have enough help in-house, you can undertake a change in your whole business image. Beware, changing a business brand is something that can be the equivalent of spring cleaning, it takes longer than you think it will, and it will use up more of your resources than you realize! Sometimes all a business requires is a makeover in this area to really utilize its potential. You may have the product ready and successful, but by changing the brand, you can take the popularity of your business to the next level. A lot of younger businesses might view the brand as something way down on the list of priorities, but this cannot be farther from the truth! Without a good brand, your business will not appear to be reliable, dynamic, important, and appealing to new customers. A brand encompasses so many things, from your logo to the marketing and even the people attached to the business. A unique brand is one that makes people sit up and pay attention; does your business have this?

Change Your Workspace

A dull workplace can be uninspiring, and this will eventually rub off on your employees. Shaking up your workspace could involve changing your office to incorporate new features, inside and out. If your business is a very plain looking building, then try and change the features around it. Take inspiration from parks that have lots of trees and plants in and around it. Planting some greenery and installing a new sprinkler system to keep it maintained will brighten up a drab white building and make it much more appealing to your employees. If you want your workplace to be a welcoming environment, install a few benches and relaxation areas outside and inside the building, so people have somewhere to escape to if they are feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Your employees’ welfare needs to be examined with a much keener focus than in the past, especially as work-related burnout is a lot more common nowadays. A few ways to combat this, in addition to areas dedicated to downtime, is to install games, which has been shown to increase productivity rather than hamper it, and to periodically hire “relaxation stations.” Your staff’s welfare and productivity go hand in hand, and you need to show that you are acting in their best interests. The workspace itself may be laden with chairs that cause back problems and desks that are uncomfortable. Standing desks has been a popular move recently because of the health benefits attached to it, and that you will have a lot more space to play with! Working at a computer for hours on end will eventually contribute to a more sedentary working method and will seriously damage productivity. As well as installing standing desks to help keep the energy up, you can also limit the amount of blue light being emitted from the computer screens, which will cause eye strain and mess with your body’s melatonin production (which will cause sleep disruptions in people who are working late at night). Installing a screen filter or a blue light filtering program like F.Lux will work wonders for reducing eye strain and cutting down on fatigue in your staff members.

Change Your Working Processes

The reason your business may be treading water could simply be the fact that your company is not working as effectively as it once was. The actions and processes that you set in motion when you first started the business might not be the ones you need right now. As a result, everything is taking a lot longer to do, and it is losing you valuable time and money. Taking a scalpel and streamlining some of your processes may be what you need to make your business a thriving workplace once again. The working processes don’t necessarily need to change, but they can easily be cut down to eliminate some of the less important areas or finding ways to automate some of the tasks will make sure that your staff is working better in other areas that demand more attention. There are systems like CRM that are invaluable to a company that works with customers and need to keep updating how they engage with them. Integrating analytics tools to give better feedback to your staff to cut down call times with customers or how workers can engage better with the public can be another method that will increase the productivity in small ways. Adding up all of the little processes that can be eliminated will all add up, and for many workers, it is a big change in their daily setup, but if these processes help them to work smarter instead of harder, while also saving you money, it is a win-win situation for all concerned.

Giving your company a makeover in one or all of these areas may be the very thing you need to either give your business a lift in the sales stakes, improve your employees’ working practices, or just make the office look a bit prettier! Some people are adverse to change, but in business, where you need to be evolving constantly to stay ahead of the competition, it needs to be part of your entire business makeup.

Keep Them Coming: Get More People Through Your Doors

Doors

                                                                                                          Picture downloaded from Pixabay

Businesses today are often online only, but many still have a physical presence. If you have a store, a hotel, a restaurant, or some other brick-and-mortar business, you need to get people through the door. Some businesses rely partly on reservations and bookings, including many hospitality businesses. But even they also want walk-ins to ensure that they get as many people in as possible. If your business relies on getting people to walk through the door, you need to use a range of methods to encourage customers to come inside and spend some money.

Strengthen Your Online Presence

Your business might be offline, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be online too. In fact, it’s essential if you want to make it in the modern world. People use the internet to search for what they need, from local stores to hotels. A lot of online marketing for hotels is focused on getting people to make online bookings. Although you can book a room over the phone, most people prefer to do it with a few clicks on a website. You must be online if you want your business to be noticed, even if it’s just ensuring your building is marked on Google Maps.

                                                                                                      Picture downloaded from Pixabay

Make Your Business Exterior Attractive

When people walk past your business, you want them to stop and come inside. Using the exterior of your business to entice people in is a vital part of increasing foot traffic. It can be harder for some, for example, if your business is a little out of the way or inside a mall. But you can still make sure your exterior is presentable to make it easier to get people inside. Everything needs to look well-maintained, as well as eye-catching. Think about using attractive signs, as well as ensuring your interior looks good from the window or doorway.

Lead People to Your Business from Elsewhere

When people are already out and about, it can be easier to get them to come and check out your business. If your business is out of the way, it’s also a good idea to provide some direction to show people how to get there. You can do a few things to get people to come and find you. For example, you could team up with other businesses to hand out each other’s flyers with your address, or to put a sign in their business telling people where to find you. You could also put signs on the street nearby to point people in the right direction.

Doors

                                                                                                          Picture downloaded from Pixabay

Advertise Offers and Deals

You need to tell people why it’s worth coming into your business over someone else’s. Using special offers and deals is one way to do that. You can advertise them in a number of places, from outside your business to online. For example, many businesses offer coupons on sites like Groupon. Don’t discount flyering or direct mail, either. They’re still effective advertising methods.

If you want more people through the door of your business, you need to combine online and offline marketing.

The Hurdles Standing Between You And Your Dream Startup

Dream

                                                                                                                                   Pexels

For some people, setting up a startup business is no easy feet. Usually, it is because there are some things getting in the way of them putting their ideas into action. This is no reason to give up on your dream of setting up your own business, though. As long as you have a great idea that will provide a service or product that is demand, there is no reason why your business should fail. There are just a few hurdles that you have to work your way over first! Here are the main ones.

A Lack Of Confidence

One of the main reasons some budding entrepreneurs don’t go ahead with their business ideas is because they don’t have enough self-confidence. There are various reasons why this could be. It can often be because they don’t have much expertise in the industry or sector that they want to open their business in. Thankfully, there are many methods of improving your confidence in business. Firstly, carrying out market research should show you that there is enough demand for your product or service. Secondly, embracing positivity is a great way to get into a mindset for business. Once you do, you’ll find that your confidence rapidly increases!

Dream

                                                                                                                                Pexels

Inadequate IT Skills

Ok, so you are probably an expert in the area of business that you want to focus your startup in. But do you have all the other relevant skills and knowledge needed to get a business idea off the ground? Lots of entrepreneurs don’t know enough about IT, but that doesn’t stop them acing their new company’s web design and social media presence. There are lots of online guides on how to improve your skills in these areas, which can be a great help. If you still struggle, you can always contact a specialist IT contractor to work on your business’s IT.

Dream

                                                                                                                                Pexels

Low Funds

Another major hurdle that many would-be business owners face is a lack of startup funds. But just because you don’t have much cash in the bank doesn’t mean that there is no way you can find enough money for your new business. These days, many online businesses require very little cash to get them up and running so you might be able to get by on what you have already. If not, though, there are now lots of loan companies that specifically help startups and small companies. These are often a better point of call than your bank, as their requirements for lenders aren’t quite as strict.

Dream

                                                                                                                           Pexels

Big Competitors

Are you going to have to deal with some well-established competitors once you have launched your business? That can be very daunting indeed, but it won’t make it completely impossible to find customers and clients. You just need to make sure that your website’s SEO is as good as it can be so that lots of people find you through Google searches. It’s also a good idea to offer some initial discounts once you launch to get as many people on board as possible.

Awesome Tips For Making Your Customers Feel Special

Special

                                                                                                                            pexels

Do you go out of your way to touch your customers in a special way? Are they always leaving you like they have been treated like a VIP? Nurturing customers is an important part of developing relationships that last, and in business, that means gold dust.

It costs up to six times less to market to your current customers than the ones you have to go out and find. And you should also be aware of the power of recommendations – a good word from a loyal customer could bring up to five new clients.

The big question is, how do you make your customers feel special? I’ve pulled together a few ideas for you to get started, so read on to find out more.

special

                                                                                                                           pexels

Start with the basics

It’s all well and good trying to target specific customers that you like – you know, the ones that spend a bucket load of cash. But you need to treat all of your clients the same, and that starts with basic customer service skills. Make sure you and your employees are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable at all times. Talk to your clients as you would a real person – both in real life and online. And finally, show them respect. Start seeing complaints as a problem for your business, not the complainer, and do your best to resolve every issue.

Use your ears

As I mentioned above, if someone wants to complain, you need to treat them with respect. And nothing shows disrespect as much as failing to listen to the problem at hand. That goes for other areas of your customer service, too, so make sure you are going things like holding focus groups, sending out surveys, and listening to suggestions on social media. At the end of the day, you will learn more about your business from customers than any employee or supplier, so keep your ears open and make sure you respond appropriately.

Special

                                                                                                                        pexels

Treat your loyal customers

Let’s say you are holding a major business event for your industry – perhaps you could invite a few VIP customers? You’ll need a particular area to host them, and will need to look into special lanyards – visit here for more info – as well as laying on some additional entertainment and food and drink. There are other ways of giving the VIP treatment to your customers, too. Send them discounts via your email newsletters, to offer them specially targeted offers based on their past purchases. Even a courtesy call a week or so after they buy something from you can make people feel you value them.

Be honest and transparent

Transparency is critical for your small business, and that goes for everything from stating your delivery times to pricing. And always fulfill any promise you make, regardless of how difficult it might be. It’s all about managing expectations and being honest about what you can – and can’t – deliver. Follow through on everything, be consistent, and keep your word – it’s that simple.

OK, so there you have it – some straightforward and efficient methods of giving your customers a great experience and making them feel special. Good luck – and feel free to leave any tips in the comments section below!

Are You Ready For These Harsh Truths?

There are a lot of posts online giving you plenty of advice on how to make sure that your business is a genuine success. A lot of these articles and blog posts can be incredibly valuable and are filled with useful information. But there’s one thing that they all tend to do which is not always a good idea. They’re all overwhelmingly positive. You come away reading them feeling like you can take on the world, that starting a business is easy, and that nothing can stop you! That’s hardly surprising, that’s how they want you to feel. And, to a degree, that’s how you should feel. You need the confidence to be able to put forward with the idea that you’re passionate about and turn it into a reality. Of course, confidence is not the same thing as arrogance, and the danger of many of these posts is that they don’t let you know just how hard things can potentially be when you’re setting up your own business. In order to help you be prepared for the bad that comes along with the good when you set up a business, here are a few harsh truths that you’re better off learning sooner rather than later.

Get ready for some long nights

Truths                                                                           Picture Source

Once you’re the business owner, the buck stops with you. Gone are the days of checking out at five even if a task isn’t done. Especially in the early days, you’ve got to be ready to spend some long night working through problems, drafting contracts, and doing all of the other important tasks that need doing when you’d much rather be at home with your family or sleeping. The important thing to remember is that, if you really care about your business, all that hard work will be worth it when it all starts to come to fruition.

You’re going to need to spend money

Truths                                                                           Picture Source

Businesses need money. That’s a fact you should get used to pretty quickly because otherwise, you’re in for some nasty surprises. In the early days of your business you simply can’t guarantee that you’re going to have revenue coming it, so you’re going to need to invest money in the business first. Whether it’s money to cover manufacturing costs, or paying a commercial construction company to actually build the location of your business, the sooner you understand that you’ll need to spend money before you can make any the better. Don’t think of it just as spending, though, it’s an investment in your future and one that, if all goes well, will pay off multiple times over.

You will fail

Truths                                                                                   Picture Source

This might sound harsh, but you need to hear it now: you are going to fail. And not just once, you’re going to fail over and over again. You’re going to make mistakes, choose the wrong options, miss opportunities. These are all things that you’re going to do because they are things that every single successful business has done before you. Things are always going to go wrong, and there’s nothing you can do about that. The important thing is knowing how to deal with it when that happens. Use your failures and learning opportunities. Each time you fall you’ll get up a little stronger and a little smarter than you were before.

Getting Your Business Connected

Connected                                                                              (Image Source)

The Internet provides many things to businesses. For one, when you’re connected, you can access thousands upon thousands of amazing resources for free. But, businesses use their Internet connections for much more than just research and social media. Modern companies share their files across the Internet. The Internet is used to connect businesses together. And, some businesses operate solely over the airwaves. So, for most, it’s critical that the networks they have in place are the best they possibly can be. To help you out, this post will be going through the process you should use to set up your business network.

The most important step in this process is choosing the company that will be providing your Internet to you. It takes a lot of research to find the best company to supply something like this. You need to be using comparison sites to check against several features of their services. First, you have to look at download limits. Most businesses will require unlimited downloads of their work. Next, you need to look at bandwidth. This number restricts the amount of data that can be sent through the network at once. So, the more users you have; the higher your bandwidth will have to be. Next, you can start looking at speeds. This is the overall speed that your network will be able to run. Usually, you won’t have many options here. And, it’s just best to go for something nice and fast. Finally, you can consider price. If you find a service that’s cheaper than the rest, which gives you everything you need; that’s perfect.

Next, you need to think about how your network will be handled. This will greatly depend on the amount of users in your business and how they work. If you have employees that have to move around a lot with laptops; it’s best to have a very powerful router and wireless switch combination. But, if you don’t need your employees to move; you can consider a simple router and regular switch. This sort of decision will be steered by budget, too. Smaller companies, with fewer employees, will usually go for the option that comes with their ISP’s package. This will be a more powerful version of the router you have at home. This may sound like nonsense to you; if you’ve never been involved with networking. But, don’t worry.

It’s easy to get help with something like this. Most companies struggle to have their IT and other services handled by themselves. But, as a small business, you probably don’t have the resources to hire an employee to handle this for you. Instead, though, you can use a company like ClearFuze Networks to help you. This sort of business is designed to help other companies with their IT and networking. Not only will they be able to help you set everything up; but, they can also support and guide you in maintaining it.

Hopefully, this will inspire you to start working harder on your networking. This area of computing is hard to get involved with. A lot of professionals spend years in education before they can get their role. So, it’s worth making sure that you get help where you need it. And, always do plenty of research.

Efficiency Hacks To Streamline Your Business

Business success can be almost narrowed down to a single word – automation. You see, the key to success is making your business run as smoothly as it possibly can without the need for much intervention from you. This means you need to be able to come up with systems of automation that can operate efficiently and thus allow you to concentrate on the other things, more important things, things that can’t be automated, things that affect the bigger picture.

As such, we have come up with a few ways to help you automate your business operations.

Adopt A Priority List

You may be thinking to yourself that this is just another name for a to-do list, and you would be right. But there is one major difference. You see, a to-do list gives everything you need to do the same value, but a priority list allows you to determine somethings urgency – or place on the list – through different values. Typically these work best when broken down into three different categories: a task that will generate money within 60 days, a task that will please a client, and a task that will establish a system that will run itself from that day on. Of course, some tasks will be matched with more than one of these needs, so stick them at the top.

Look For Automation Systems

The world of technology has focused on this requirement for some time now, so it is just a matter of knowing what is out there and then implementing it. Of course, some of these tips require software, such as a maintenance management system, while other tricks are just that; tricks. For example, a lot of business tasks are things that are repeated over and over again, such as emails. That is where the use of templates comes in. It won’t take long to set up half a dozen templates, but it will save you a barrel of time in the long run.

Have A Day to Focus

One of the issues with setting up processes that will work efficiently is actually having the time to set up these processes, that will in turn reduce your stress. As such, why not set yourself a day every fortnight or every month to work on these. That means not taking any calls, or getting involved in menial tasks or anything like that. Just focus on how you can better improve your processes and stick with that.

Always Have A Checklist

Your business may not be in the business of saving lives, but following the practices of that kind of professions makes a whole lotta sense. Think about it, before a plane takes off, the pilot has to perform a rigorous amount of checks. The same goes with a surgeon. As such, it could be wise to build a checklist for any recurring processes that you undertake. It is one of the best ways to ensure that everything is done accordingly and nothing is missed. Automation should be easy, but it should also be accurate, and that is an important factor to always remember.

These Essential SEO Facts May Surprise You

Facts

                                                                                                                      Pixabay

People underestimate SEO all the time. This, of course, is a mistake if you’re actually looking to wield it in order to boost your web page! In this article, we’re going to be looking at some very underappreciated facts about SEO that should highlight the importance of getting it done correctly. If you think you can do it all by yourself, without expert help, then this article may help change your mind! To learn more, check this other post https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbesagencycouncil/2021/05/14/how-long-does-seo-take-and-why/.

It’s mostly off-page

Website owners spend a lot of time tending to their pages to make sure that it’s as susceptible to the success of SEO as possible. This is obviously important, but you shouldn’t overestimate the power of on-page SEO. Because SEO is mostly off-page – an estimated 75% off-page, in fact. Most of it is established by the trust and reputation that is built by your website, and this is measured through external links, co-marketing, social media activity, PR… basically, a bunch of stuff that you can’t build into your website and that you have a bit less control over.

There are unique techniques for most businesses

A lot of businesses make the mistake of assuming that SEO is basically a one-size-fits-all endeavor. If they need to give their website – and, thus, their business – a boost, then they could just go to any old SEO company. To a mild extent, this is true. But there are SEO businesses and tactics that are tailored to specific industries – and this is very important to understand if you want to get the best results possible from your SEO. And you may be surprised at just how specific it can all get. Let’s say you work in healthcare. You could work with the SEO experts at Home Service Direct to optimize your content for healthcare. Then again, you could be even more specific. If you’re a dermatologist, for example, you could look into local SEO for dermatology groups.

Google hasn’t even scratched the surface

You may not be under the impression that Google has most of the Internet indexed. A lot of people are, but perhaps you’re a little more tech-savvy than the average person. But even then, you’re probably overestimating Google’s reach. Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt, estimated that the Internet probably holds around 5 million terabytes of data. Google has about 200 terabytes of that data indexed. Some quick math will tell you that that isn’t even 1% of the data on the Internet. (It’s actually only 0.04%.) The un-Googleable void is bigger than you think – as is the risk of your website becoming part of that void.

Video will boost you

People, understandably, put a lot of focus on text when it comes to SEO. This is a good thing, of course – a lot of SEO involves keywords and HTML elements. But you may be underestimating the importance of video. If your website has a video on its landing page, your chances of showing on the first page of Google’s results are increased by about 53%. This is especially true if the video is from YouTube. After all, who owns YouTube? (You know what to do if you don’t know the answer.)
